PROMPT REMOVAL OF THE GRAFFITI IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT! The vandal will not receive the recognition they desire which discourages a repeat offense. The longer the product is on the surface the more difficult it will be to remove it. The product will not have a chance to seep into the material, set up onto it or harden. Different products and methods will be used for the removal of the graffiti considering the surface it is on.

in general:

• If the surface is painted the graffiti should be removed and repaint the area. If the surface is unpainted or unprotected use a removal method which is least harmful to the material
• Paint Over: use a stain-killing primer if the graffiti bleeds through.
• Chemical Removers: involves the use of a solvent or chemical to dissolve the graffiti. Proper use of a pressure washer can be used in this case. Care should be taken to the runoff of solvents.
